winAMP is not Free, they have Pro Version. And not open source.

Please note beforehand that I am not a Mac user, so I can not vouch for the completeness or usefulness of this port except for on the original Linux version. That said, you may want to take a look at Darwine.
Darwine is a port of WINE to Mac OS X. WINE is basically a program that recreates Windows and will allow you to run many Windows programs on Unix platforms. It can take a bit of tinkering to get programs to work, especially more feature filled and/or newer programs, but you may be able to get a must have application or two working. It’s quicker and more integrated into your system than using a virtual machine, so it may be worth a shot. All that I use WINE for on a semi-regular basis is a computer encyclopedia.
Assuming Darwine is a decent port (I do not know the current state of it), you may be able to use the WINE AppDB to get information about running a Windows application. And if Darwine is incomplete and sucky, then I apologize for ever bringing it up.
